Disclaimers, privacy, and how this platform behaves
Family-law data is among the most sensitive data there is. These are the standing commitments.
Terms of Service →
The full terms governing use of the platform — scope, attorney review, responsibilities, liability.
Privacy Policy →
How family-law data is collected, protected, and never sold — device-first tools, RLS, safety defaults.
Not a law firm. Not legal advice.
FamilyLawGPS is a self-help software platform operated by LegalDraft Technologies LLC — the same company behind EstateDraftFL, its Florida estate-planning sibling. It provides legal information — educational explanations, official source links, calculators, organizers, and checklists — not legal advice. It does not select strategies, predict judges, guarantee outcomes, or form attorney–client relationships. Attorney review services are performed by independent licensed Florida attorneys under their own written limited-scope engagements; no attorney–client relationship exists with anyone until an attorney accepts your matter in writing. Communications with the platform are not privileged.
Sources, confidence, and honesty
Procedural content carries its source citation, confidence level, and last-verified date, powered by the BenchPath verification engine. Unverified material is labeled as a lead, never presented as fact. Court procedures change without notice — verify urgent deadlines with the court, the clerk, or a Florida attorney. Nothing here modifies official Florida Supreme Court forms; always download current forms from flcourts.gov.
Privacy commitments
- Anonymous tools run in your browser: calculators, builders, and trackers store progress in localStorage on your device — not on our servers — until you create an account and choose to save.
- Account data lives in an isolated database with row-level security: your rows are readable by you, not by other users, and the app ships no server-side secret that bypasses that.
- Sensitive facts are never sent to the BenchPath engine — it receives only procedural query parameters (county, case type, task), never names, children, incomes, or uploads.
- No selling of user data. No ad retargeting on family-law facts. No dark-pattern data collection.
- Safety-first defaults: neutral page titles on saved cases, quick exit on every page, and deletion on request.
Terms, briefly
Use the platform lawfully and for your own case. Software is provided as-is without warranties; liability is limited to fees paid. Filing deadlines, service, and court appearances remain your responsibility. If any content here conflicts with a statute, rule, court order, or your attorney's advice — those win, every time. The full Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are in force alongside the commitments above.
Emergencies
This platform is not for emergencies. Immediate danger: 911. Domestic violence support: Florida hotline 1-800-500-1119, national hotline 1-800-799-7233. Crisis: call or text 988.
