Eight stages on Nevada's own clocks: the six-week gate opens the door, service arms the GFDF-30 metronome, and NO decree floor waits at the end — the disclosure discipline is the pace car, and the joint-petition lane stays open to any case that becomes fully agreed.
Stage 1
File — the six-week gate already satisfied
The verified complaint (or joint petition) files in the district court after six weeks' residence (NRS 125.020). Nevada issues NO statewide automatic financial restraining orders on filing — temporary relief is a motion (stage 6), and any county standing-order practice is county-local law the clerk confirms.

Stage 2
Serve — the disclosure clock arms
Service of the summons and complaint (NRCP 4) starts the case's real metronome: the General Financial Disclosure Form runs 30 days from THIS date (NRCP 16.2).

Stage 3
The response window
The served summons states the response deadline (NRCP 4's form controls) — a non-appearing spouse opens the affidavit-default lane (NRS 125.123) rather than stalling the case.

Stage 4
Disclose — GFDF day 30, both sides
Each party files AND serves the GFDF within 30 days of service; the $250,000/$1,000,000/business triggers switch the case to the Detailed FDF track; the sixteen-category production rides along, and the supplement duty compresses to 24 HOURS near calendared events (NRCP 16.2).

Stage 5
The conference track
The NRCP 16.2 machinery (early case conference → case management conference) shapes contested cases unless exempted — and the consent-based INFORMAL FAMILY LAW TRIAL (DCR 27) is on the menu for NRS 125/125C/126 actions when both sides opt in.

Stage 6
Temporary orders — on MOTION
Temporary maintenance, temporary child support and suit money ride a NRS 125.040 motion while the case pends — nothing is automatic; safety needs route through the protection-order lanes instead.

Stage 7
Resolution — the agreed doors or trial
Fully agreed cases take the joint-petition lane (NRS 125.181–.184 — revocable by either spouse before entry, 125.183) or submit the agreement in the pending case; contested cases try the narrowed issues.

Stage 8
Decree — no statutory floor, final on entry
NO waiting period stands between resolution and decree — the decree is FINAL on entry (NRS 125.130). Custody terms draft in ABSOLUTE terms and carry the CAPS abduction notice (NRS 125C.0045); support terms cite the NAC 425.140 tiers they came from.
